Description
High Spirits' Collection bottles this 15 Year Old in its My Whisky Route series, a 2009 vintage in ex-Bourbon at a powerful strength. Miltonduff, the fresh, floral Speyside distilled beside Pluscarden Abbey near Elgin and long bound for the Ballantine's blend.
Fifteen years in ex-Bourbon let oxidation gain weight, baked orchard fruit and richer toffee building over the floral spirit with a waxy edge. A cool Speyside warehouse held the pace gentle and steady.
At 61.7% it shows vivid apple, pear and vanilla, undiluted. A My Whisky Route 15.
