Sestante, the storied Italian bottler. This Pluscarden Valley 14 Year Old is a cask strength ex-Bourbon Miltonduff. Miltonduff, the fresh, floral Speyside distilled beside Pluscarden Abbey near Elgin and long bound for the Ballantine's blend.
Fourteen years in ex-Bourbon let oak and spirit knit, vanilla and honey from lignin and wood sugars settling into the floral spirit.
At 57.4% it shows a cooked-mash and cooked-vegetable depth over the floral body, undiluted. A Pluscarden Valley 14.
