Description
From Signatory Vintage's Un-Chillfiltered Cask Strength range, this 13 Year Old draws on a 2009 vintage in ex-Bourbon, cask 701793. Miltonduff, the sweet, grassy Speyside raised on the grounds of Pluscarden Abbey and known as a Ballantine's workhorse.
By thirteen years the ex-Bourbon cask had integrated with the delicate Speyside make, caramelised hemicellulose lending toffee alongside the vanilla.
At 55.6% it shows cooked and fresh fruit over vanilla, undiluted. An Un-Chillfiltered 13.
