James MacArthur bottles this 10 Year Old in its Fine Malt Selection, a historic Italian-market Miltonduff in ex-Bourbon. Miltonduff, the floral Speyside malt distilled near Pluscarden Abbey and long destined for Ballantine's.
Ten years in a bourbon barrel brought balance, lignin-derived vanilla and a growing fruity-ester sweetness folding into Miltonduff's light spirit.
At 43% it shows apple, pear, honey and vanilla. A Fine Malt Selection 10.
