Mijenta Tequila Reposado Cristalino

Mijenta Reposado Cristalino is a 100% Blue Weber tequila from Casa Tequilera de Arandas in the Los Altos highlands, the brand whose sensory work is led by master distiller Ana María Romero. It rests around eight months in bespoke Symphony casks developed for this expression, then is charcoal filtered to strip the colour back to clear, so it is an aged tequila wearing the appearance of a blanco rather than an unaged one.

Filtration removes much of the oak grip while keeping the cask derived sweetness, which gives this its soft, rounded shape. The nose is a sweet, silky bouquet of coconut, vanilla, maple, chocolate, coffee and cooked agave, and the palate echoes it with maple, caramel, coffee, coconut and toffee alongside citrus, honey and cooked agave, bottled at 40%.
