Description
This tasting set gathers six different mezcals from six producers, totalling around 0.75 litres across three 200 ml and three 50 ml bottles, chosen to show the breadth of agave and region. It is built for sitting down with friends and comparing how species and place change the spirit, rather than around any single house style.
The line up includes Ajal Cenizo, a smooth mezcal from wild Cenizo in Durango, Fruto del Sol Espadin Madrecuixe, a fruity sweet ensemble of two agaves, La Medida Tobala with its juicy fruit and gentle smoke and minerality typical of the wild Tobala, Lajita Reposado which carries a worm in the bottle, Tecuan Cupreata from one hundred percent wild Cupreata in Guerrero, and Madre Ensamble of Espadin and Cuishe with little smoke. Across the set the range moves from earthy and lightly smoky to soft and fruit forward, a useful way to taste agave and region side by side.
