Mas Doix makes this fresh white in Priorat, mostly Garnacha Blanca with a little Macabeo. Rested three months on lees in stainless steel with no oak, it is a bright, mineral white of white peach, green apple and a herbal edge.

Description
Murmuri comes from Mas Doix in Poboleda, a Priorat estate whose history runs back to 1850 and five generations of growers who replanted Garnacha and Cariñena after phylloxera. The wine is built mostly on Garnacha Blanca with a touch of Macabeo and a small share of other white varieties. Priorat is best known for its powerful reds grown on llicorella, the region's dark slate soil, and that same bedrock gives the whites a firm mineral backbone and concentration even in a fresh style. Garnacha Blanca ripens to generous stone fruit but can lack acidity, so here it is picked to hold freshness and made without oak: fermentation and three months on the fine lees in stainless steel add a subtle texture and savoury depth while keeping the fruit clean and primary. The colour is pale straw with green tints. The nose gives white peach and green apple with white flowers and a herbal note. The palate is dry and mineral, with citrus peel and a saline grip from the slate carried by bright acidity to a clean, stony finish. Serve well chilled at 8 to 10 degrees.
