Description
Manutea distils in French Polynesia, on Tahiti and Moorea, a far-flung outpost of the cane-juice tradition. Le Bio is an organic blanc made from fresh-pressed sugarcane juice rather than molasses, an agricole-style white from one of the most remote rum origins.
The column still keeps the green, aromatic congeners in the spirit, and the result is fresh yet generous: a nose of sugarcane, honey, grass and flowers, a palate of cane, spice and floral notes, and a long finish carrying licorice, eucalyptus and vegetal cane. At 55% it has real presence, the strength folded into a round, sugar-rich body rather than reading hot. There is no added sugar.
