Description
Maison La Mauny Cuvée du Nouveau Monde XO is an aged rhum agricole from one of Martinique's largest and oldest houses, founded at Rivière-Pilote in 1749. As an XO under the island's AOC, it carries at least six years in oak, where tropical maturation lends depth beyond the stated age. Like all true agricole, it is distilled from fresh-pressed cane juice rather than molasses.
No tasting notes are recorded for this bottling, so expect the aged-agricole house style: a grassy cane core layered with vanilla, baking spice, toasted oak and cocoa, drier and more spice-forward than a sweet molasses rum. Bottled unsweetened at 43%, it suits neat sipping or a stirred agricole cocktail.
