Eminente Carta Oro comes from Cuba Ron S.A. under LVMH, working Cuba's light ron ligero archetype of clean, column distilled, charcoal filtered spirit blended for lightness. This is the younger gold expression in the range, and it shows Cuba's smooth, approachable side, with a nose of sweet anise, a saline edge and liquorice. Bottled around 40%, it is built for easy drinking.

The palate is light and sweet, marzipan and a gentle oily texture, finishing on nutmeg, apple and lingering sweetness. There is a smooth, spicy, faintly citrusy fruitiness that makes it a pleasant, undemanding pour, true to the lighter Cuban style that underpins so many daiquiris and mojitos.
