Eminente is the Cuban project under LVMH, distilled by Cuba Ron in the island's classic ligero tradition of light, clean column still rum. This Ambar Claro is a three year molasses rum rested in ex-bourbon wood and bottled at 40%, leaning young and fresh rather than deep.
The character is fruit-forward and lively, with apple and pear, fresh young wood and a light vanilla sweetness, closing short, clean and faintly peppery. It carries more fruit and shape than a basic white rum without becoming demanding, which is where it earns its keep. This is a mixing rum first, bright and capable in a daiquiri or mojito, with enough character to reward a curious sip while keeping things firmly approachable.
