Luxardo Del Santo is an intensely aromatic herbal liqueur from Luxardo, the Italian house founded in 1821 and based in the Veneto, best known for its Maraschino. Made on the basis of a secret recipe of selected herbs, roots, spices and aromatic plant extracts, it stands in the tradition of classic Italian digestives, balancing bitter elements with a mild sweetness, and at 40% it is one of the stronger herbal liqueurs of its kind.

The nose is intensely herbal with wormwood, myrrh, cinnamon, liquorice and dried citrus peel, the palate full bodied and strong with a complex herbal structure, fine bitterness, liquorice and a warm spicy note, finishing long, bittersweet and spicy with a pleasantly bitter close. Behind the bar it brings herbal bitterness and spicy depth, which lets it work like a bitter backbone in Negroni variations, herbal highballs or alongside espresso as a Caffe Corretto. Serve it neat as a digestif or classically on ice with orange zest.
