Lucano Sambuca Liquore

Lucano Sambuca Liquore is an Italian sambuca made to a traditional recipe by the Lucano distillery, known for its aniseed flavour and velvety texture. It combines star anise, herbal extracts and fine sugar into a well balanced liqueur with a harmonious sweetness, a clear aniseed character and a light spiciness, bottled at 40% for an intense yet smooth flavour.

The nose carries intense aniseed notes with a subtle herbal spiciness, the palate full bodied and sweet with a harmonious balance of aniseed, light spice and fine herbal freshness, finishing long and pleasantly warming with a clear, persistent aniseed flavour. Behind the bar it brings aniseed flavour and a velvety sweetness, which suits aniseed forward cocktails and long drinks. It is traditionally enjoyed neat or over ice, and is especially popular as a digestif served con la mosca, with a coffee bean floating in the glass.
