Description
Lost Lore Tequila Reposado is a 100% Blue Weber tequila from the highlands of Jalisco, Los Altos, made at NOM 1414, Destilería El Ranchito, in Arandas. Created by master distiller Sergio Cruz with the Vivanco family, it is the rested expression of the line founder Arturo Lamas III built to revive a family tradition.
The agave is fully ripe highland Blue Weber, cooked in brick stone ovens, then open fermented in stainless tanks with champagne yeast and double distilled in copper pot stills. The house signature of fermenting to classical music, the Mozart method, carries through here too. The nose shows intense cooked agave, caramel and vanilla with fine cinnamon and black pepper, while the palate is balanced, buttery and creamy with sweet agave, baking spice, citrus accents and a mineral note underneath, all at 40%.
