Description
Lost Lore Tequila Blanco is a 100% Blue Weber tequila from the highlands of Jalisco, produced at NOM 1414, Destilería El Ranchito, in Arandas. Bottled additive-free and prized for a clean, agave forward profile, the name nods to the nearly lost family tradition founder Arturo Lamas III set out to revive.
The nose shows intense freshly cooked agave with citrus, white or black pepper and a marked minerality, alongside herbal hints of coriander and a light earthiness. The palate is soft and sweetish with typical highland agave, then mint, anise and a peppery spice on the close. One signature of the house is fermenting to classical music, the so called Mozart method said to lift yeast activity, with champagne or rum yeast in play. At 40% it makes a clean, additive-free highland sipper.
