Longueteau Symphonie

Longueteau, the oldest family-owned agricole distillery in Guadeloupe, made this Symphonie as a blend of several vintages from fresh sugar cane juice under the island's IGP, bottled at a robust 48.7%. The line is regarded as a fine and approachable example of aged agricole.

The rum carries the signature Longueteau character over its cane-juice base, the nose woody and vegetal with fruity and minty lifts, the palate fresh and peppery with wood and citrus, the finish drawing on licorice, tobacco, wood and nutmeg. Unsweetened and easy to sip despite its youth and strength, it balances the grassy heart of agricole against gentle oak spice. It makes both a welcoming introduction to the aged style and a satisfying everyday pour, equally at home sipped neat or lending real character to a stirred rum cocktail.
