Description
Longueteau Selection Parcellaire No. 9 Canne Rouge 2018 is a white agricole from Longueteau, the oldest family-owned agricole distillery still running in Guadeloupe, founded in 1895. Drawn from the 2018 harvest and made from fresh sugarcane juice on a column still, this parcellaire ties the rum to a single plot of red cane, with the variety and terroir at the heart of the bottling. It is bottled at 55%.
Distilled to keep the grassy, vegetal congeners in the spirit, it leads with fresh sugarcane, lime and a floral, vegetal lift on the nose, then a palate of cane, citrus and green notes that finishes clean, elegant and lightly sweet on the cane itself. At 55% it carries the cane character with real intensity while staying smooth and rounded. Strong value for the finesse on offer, it is a bright, terroir-driven blanc for drinkers who like fresh Guadeloupe cane neat or as the base of a vivid Ti Punch.
