A high-proof Guadeloupe parcel selection from Longueteau, distilled from fresh cane juice and bottled unaged at 55%, all lime, citrus and cut-grass freshness over a green, vegetal core with a dry, fruity finish.
Description
Longueteau, founded in 1895, is the oldest family-owned agricole distillery still running on Guadeloupe, and this Selection Parcellaire isolates the character of a single plot of cane. Bottled under the island's IGP rather than the Martinique AOC, it is unaged white rum built to show terroir rather than oak.
Distilled from fresh-pressed sugar-cane juice on a column still and left clear, it opens on sugarcane and red-cane aromatics with lime and citrus lifting the top. The palate stays bright and herbaceous, lime over a grassy, vegetal middle, and the finish runs dry and fruity with the citrus snap returning. At 55% it has the proof to anchor a proper Ti' Punch, where the lime and cane character do the heavy lifting.
