Longueteau Blanc Serie Limitee 2022, released through Excellence Rhum, is a high-strength blanc from Longueteau, the oldest family-owned agricole distillery still running in Guadeloupe, dating to 1895. Distilled from fresh-pressed sugar-cane juice grown on the estate, it shows the house signature at full power.

The nose is intensely fresh, with raw sugar-cane, green vegetal notes, anise and orchard fruit. The palate delivers a big rush of cane sweetness balanced by a dry, herbaceous structure, with citrus and a peppery bite, before a finish of fresh cane, citrus and lime. There is a buttery, faintly bitter almond note late on that adds interest. Bottled at a formidable 64% with no added sugar, this is an uncompromising agricole white that wants water or a Ti Punch to open fully. For drinkers who like their blancs raw, aromatic and powerful, it is a clear expression of Guadeloupe cane.
