The House of MacDuff bottles this 9 Year Old in its Golden Cask Reserve range, a 2007 vintage from ex-Bourbon cask CM 228, a tiny outturn of 115 bottles.
Nine years in ex-Bourbon leave the young spirit bright, the oak's caramelised hemicellulose giving a soft toffee alongside vanilla.
At 59.4% it shows young stone and orchard fruit and vanilla over Longmorn's body, undiluted. A Golden Cask 9.
