Gordon & MacPhail of Elgin, founded 1895, long held some of the deepest Longmorn reserves. This 50 Year Old is a 1964 vintage Licensed Bottling from Oloroso cask 1535, a half-century of the rich Speyside spirit.
Fifty years in Oloroso built profound depth, the cask's melanoidins lending date and raisin and its tannins a polished, nutty structure.
At 43% it shows chocolate, dried fruit, old wood and a deep sherried character, worn to silk. A half-century 1964.
