Description
Gordon & MacPhail, founded in Elgin in 1895, kept some of the deepest Longmorn stocks anywhere. This Celtic Series 46 Year Old is a 1965 vintage from Oloroso cask 370, dressed in Book of Kells artwork and bottled at cask strength.
Forty-six years in Oloroso built deep sherried maturity, the cask's melanoidins giving dried fruit and its tannins a nutty grip.
At 51.8% it shows profound dried fruit over Longmorn's worn richness, undiluted. A 1965 Celtic Series.
