Chorlton Whisky, a Manchester independent, bottles this 18 Year Old, a 2002 vintage Longmorn in ex-Bourbon, an outturn of 203 bottles.
Eighteen years in ex-Bourbon worked the rich spirit, the cask's lignin breaking down to vanillin for a clear vanilla note.
At 51.1% it shows citrus, fresh fruit, a glasshouse-green note, hay, honey and a leafy lift over Longmorn's body, undiluted. A Chorlton 18.
