Speciality Drinks, the company behind The Whisky Exchange, bottles this 18 Year Old in The Whisky Society series, a 1990 vintage Longmorn in ex-Bourbon, an outturn of 352 bottles.
Eighteen years in ex-Bourbon matured the weighty Longmorn make, the oak's caramelised hemicellulose giving a soft toffee alongside vanilla.
At 58% it shows mature orchard fruit and vanilla over Longmorn's richness, undiluted. A Whisky Society 18.
