From Van Wees, the Dutch house behind The Ultimate range, this Cask Strength 17 Year Old is a 1996 vintage from Oloroso cask 72324, an outturn of 621 bottles, one of the celebrated 1996 sherry casks.

Seventeen years in Oloroso built deep sherried maturity, the cask's melanoidins giving dried fruit.

At 57.4% it shows chocolate, cooked fruit, leather and a sherried character, undiluted. An Ultimate 17.
