Gordon & MacPhail, the Elgin house founded in 1895, held some of the deepest Longmorn stocks of any bottler. This Distillery Labels 14 Year Old is a 2008 vintage Longmorn in ex-Bourbon.
Fourteen years in ex-Bourbon framed the rich spirit, the American oak contributing vanilla and a gentle coconut from its lactones.
At 46% it shows Longmorn's rich orchard fruit and vanilla with a vegetal depth. A Distillery Labels 14.
