Description
Dark Briar is part of Lochlea's Single Estate range, the distillery's own-barley spirit shown through particular cask combinations. Here Oloroso meets Port for a darker, fruitier profile.
The Oloroso lends dried fruit through its melanoidins and the Port plum through its residual wine, the two casks layering depth over the distillery's barley.
At 46% it shows chocolate and citrus over the sherried, plummy fruit, a darker side of Lochlea. A Single Estate release.
