Description
This is Batch 1 of Lochlea Cask Strength, the distillery's core spirit, grown and made on its Ayrshire farm, bottled undiluted. The unpeated Our Barley character at full power.
Matured across ex-Bourbon and Oloroso, the bourbon oak lends vanilla and the sherry dried fruit, full strength keeping the fruit and grip that water would soften.
At 60.1% it shows fresh fruit, citrus, honey and a malty note over old wood and a toasted edge, undiluted. A cask strength Lochlea.
