Description
This Peated Rioja Cask is The Open Official Spirit, Loch Lomond being the official spirit of golf's Open Championship. A peated malt finished in a Rioja wine cask.
After ex-Bourbon, a Rioja finish lends berry fruit and a drying edge over a peated spirit, the wine pigments and peat smoke playing against each other.
At 40% it shows wood smoke and berry fruit with a husky, tobacco edge over old wood, the peat phenols carrying the reek. A peated, wine-finished Open release.
