Description
This Inchmurrin, from a 2003 vintage and the Trias Usquebaugh series, matures Loch Lomond's floral island malt in Oloroso and ex-Bourbon, an outturn of 495 bottles at cask strength.
Fourteen years with an Oloroso influence set sherried dried fruit against the straight-neck-still fruit, the cask's melanoidins giving fig and raisin and its tannins a polished grip.
At 54.6% it shows dried and fresh fruit, a sherried character, honey and a cooked-mash depth with a dry sandy edge. A sherried single-cask Inchmurrin.
