This single cask Inchmurrin, from a 2003 vintage, sets Loch Lomond's floral island malt against Pedro Ximenez, an outturn of 228 bottles at cask strength. Distilled in the straight-neck Lomond stills.
Twelve years in ex-Bourbon and Pedro Ximenez layer the PX's raisiny sweetness over the bright spirit, the cask's residual sugars and melanoidins giving date and treacle.
At 55.3% the Inchmurrin fruit meets dark PX raisin and date, full strength keeping both vivid. A PX single cask island malt.
