From Murray McDavid's Mission Gold range, this Loch Lomond Single Grain, the distillery's 100% malted-barley grain, is a 28 year old from 1996 matured with Sauternes.
Twenty-eight years with a Sauternes influence lend honeyed apricot over the mature grain, the angel's share having eased the cask over the decades.
At 51.2% it shows mature grain with Sauternes honey over old wood, undiluted. A mature Sauternes grain.
