LMDW Neisson Tatanka 2012 pairs two respected names: Neisson, the small family distillery in northern Martinique long favoured by agricole enthusiasts, and La Maison du Whisky, the Paris house behind the Tatanka selections. This is a single cask from the 2012 vintage.
Distilled from fresh-pressed sugar-cane juice on a creole column, it is true Martinique agricole, bottled unsweetened at 44%. Aged single-cask Neisson typically keeps a grassy, herbaceous core with vanilla, baking spice and toasted oak layered on top, drier and more mineral than sweet molasses rum. As a single cask it represents one barrel rather than a blended profile.
