Description
The Whisky Agency, a cult German independent, releases characterful single casks. This bottling is a 35 year old Littlemill, laid down in 1988 and drawn off in 2024. With so little ever bottled and no more to come, this sits at the scarce, sought-after end of the market.
It spent thirty-five years in ex-Bourbon, long enough to round Littlemill's soft orchard-fruit spirit.
Bottled undiluted at 50.7%, vanilla and pale oak from the ex-Bourbon. Soft fruit, hay and honey over a creamy base. Wood sugars from the caramelised hemicellulose give a light toffee, while lignin yields the vanillin behind the vanilla. The years have drawn off much of the cask, alcohol faster than water in the Scottish damp, leaving this mature, gentle remainder.
