Description
The Vintage Malt Whisky Company, a Glasgow house, releases the Cooper's Choice range. A 31 year old Littlemill, from cask 3902, this was distilled in 1984 and bottled in 2015, in The Cooper's Choice range. No spirit has flowed at Bowling since 1992, leaving only the casks already filled.
Time in ex-Bourbon, thirty-one years of it, frames Littlemill's light, vanilla-laced make.
Bottled at 46.5%, the bourbon cask adds a soft vanilla frame. Fragrant and clean, with orchard fruit and creamy fudge. Long oxidation coaxes fruity esters from the spirit, the ex-Bourbon's vanillin and lactones adding vanilla and coconut. Great age in a dunnage warehouse means the angel's share has taken much of the cask and gently lowered the strength, concentrating what remains.
