Description

The Whisky Agency, a German house, is known for its artist-drawn labels and well-chosen casks. The cask was filled in 1992 and bottled in 2022, a 30 year old Littlemill. No spirit has flowed at Bowling since 1992, leaving only the casks already filled.

Held in ex-Bourbon for thirty years, the oak settles Littlemill's elegant Lowland character.

Bottled undiluted at 51.4%, the ex-Bourbon lends vanilla and a creamy oak note. Expect citrus, cooked fruit. Wood sugars from the caramelised hemicellulose give a light toffee, while lignin yields the vanillin behind the vanilla. Decades in a damp Lowland warehouse cost roughly two percent a year, alcohol leaving faster than water, softening the strength and deepening the spirit.
