Gordon & Company is a historic Glasgow bottling and blending name. This 27 year old Littlemill, from cask 135 was distilled in 1988 and bottled in 2015, in The Pearls of Scotland range. Silent since 1992 and demolished in 2005, Littlemill exists now only in the casks that remain.

Ex-Bourbon and twenty-seven years round its creamy-fudge Lowland sweetness.

At 58.7%, undiluted, vanilla and light oak come from the bourbon cask. Expect chocolate, citrus, dried fruit, leather, a nutty note, a sherried character. Decades of slow oxidation turned the spirit's aldehydes to acids and then to fruity esters, the ex-Bourbon adding vanilla beneath. At this age the angel's share has done its quiet work: in humid Scottish warehouses alcohol leaves faster than water, easing the strength and concentrating the flavour.
