Description
Liquid Treasures is a German independent known for its artful single-cask labels. The cask was filled in 1988 and bottled in 2014, a 26 year old Littlemill. The distillery is gone, so what survives in cask is all there will ever be.
Ex-Bourbon and twenty-six years round Littlemill's grassy, honeyed make.
Bottled at cask strength, 52.7%, vanilla and a soft oak frame from the ex-Bourbon. Buttery vanilla and orchard fruit, classic Littlemill. The bourbon cask's lactones read as coconut and the lignin vanillin as vanilla, gentle on a light Lowland spirit. A quarter-century and more of angel's share has slowly lowered the strength, the humid warehouse favouring alcohol over water.
