Description
Hart Brothers of Glasgow is a long-running independent, bottling since the 1960s. Distilled in 1988, this 26 year old Littlemill was bottled in 2015, in the Finest Collection - Cask Strength range. As the last casks are bottled, Littlemill grows scarcer with every release.
A turn in Oloroso over twenty-six years folds the cask through its buttery, honeyed Lowland style.
At 52.5%, undiluted, the Oloroso brings sultana, walnut and warm spice. It carries dried fruit, fresh fruit, leather, old wood, tobacco. Sherry residue and European-oak tannin lend raisin, nutmeg and a walnut dryness over the soft Lowland base. Great age in a dunnage warehouse means the angel's share has taken much of the cask and gently lowered the strength, concentrating what remains.
