Description
The Hart family has selected and bottled Scotch from Glasgow since the 1960s. Distilled in 1989, this 25 year old Littlemill, from cask 1253 was bottled in 2015, in the Finest Collection range. Silent since 1992 and demolished in 2005, Littlemill exists now only in the casks that remain.
Twenty-five years in Oloroso layer the cask onto Littlemill's light, vanilla-laced make.
Bottled undiluted at 52.1%, the sherry cask adds dried fruit and nutmeg. A fragrant, fruity Littlemill, honeyed and silky. The Oloroso's melanoidins give fig and date, its higher tannins a dry, polished grip on the delicate spirit. Time has thinned the cask and eased the alcohol, the humid air drawing off spirit faster than water until only this concentrated remainder is left.
