Description
Alambic Classique bottles single-cask Scotch at natural strength. This bottling is a 24 year old Littlemill, from cask 15305, laid down in 1990 and drawn off in 2015, part of the Rare & Old Selection series. With the distillery demolished and no new spirit possible, every bottle is drawn from a pool that only shrinks.
Matured in Oloroso, twenty-four years wrap its delicate, honeyed spirit in the cask's character.
Bottled at cask strength, 54.2%, the Oloroso lends raisin, fig and a nutty spice. Grassy, honeyed and softly floral to the close. The Oloroso's melanoidins give fig and date, its higher tannins a dry, polished grip on the delicate spirit.
