Description
Master of Malt, the online retailer, bottles its own single casks and small batches. Filled in 1991 and bottled in 2013, the whisky is a 21 year old Littlemill, from cask 2665, in the Single Cask Series range. No spirit has flowed at Bowling since 1992, leaving only the casks already filled.
Held in ex-Bourbon for twenty-one years, the oak settles Littlemill's buttery Lowland fruit.
Bottled undiluted at 52.4%, vanilla and a soft oak frame from the ex-Bourbon. On the palate, a mineral edge. Decades of slow oxidation turned the spirit's aldehydes to acids and then to fruity esters, the ex-Bourbon adding vanilla beneath.
