Description
The Auld Alliance is a Singapore whisky bar and bottler named for the historic Franco-Scottish bond. Distilled in 1992 and bottled in 2013, this is a 20 year old Littlemill. The stocks are finite and dwindling, a closed distillery's legacy measured out cask by cask.
Twenty years in the bourbon cask polish the creamy, vanilla-rich spirit.
At 52.2%, undiluted, the ex-Bourbon brings vanilla and a touch of coconut. Grassy, honeyed and softly floral to the close. Long oxidation coaxes fruity esters from the spirit, the ex-Bourbon's vanillin and lactones adding vanilla and coconut.
