Description
Scotland-and-Malts is an independent bottler. The cask was filled in 1992 and bottled in 2012, a 20 year old Littlemill, from cask 4044, from the Cask Collection range. These are the last of Littlemill, a closed distillery's stock dwindling toward nothing.
Held in ex-Bourbon for twenty years, the oak settles Littlemill's elegant Lowland character.
Bottled at cask strength, 48.2%, vanilla and a gentle oak sweetness from the bourbon cask. Honey, vanilla and a buttery Lowland softness carry it. The oak's vanillin and wood sugars lend vanilla and light toffee, the spirit's own esters bringing the fruit.
