Description
Jack Wiebers Whisky World is a German independent with a long catalogue of single casks. Distilled in 1990 and bottled in 2010, this is a 20 year old Littlemill, from cask RN10-28, in the Old Train Line range. Every release draws down a finite store that can never be replenished.
It spent twenty years in ex-Bourbon, long enough to round Littlemill's light, vanilla-laced make.
Bottled at cask strength, 53.6%, the bourbon cask adds a soft vanilla frame. The profile runs to citrus, cooked fruit. Oak lactones and lignin-derived vanillin build the vanilla-and-coconut signature, the gentle American-oak tannins keeping it soft.
