Description
Scott's Selection was the late Robert Scott's independent label, known for natural-strength single casks. Distilled in 1992 and bottled in 2010, this is an 18 year old Littlemill. Once these casks are gone, Littlemill is gone with them.
An ex-Bourbon cask and eighteen years shape Littlemill's buttery Lowland fruit.
Bottled at cask strength, 57.8%, vanilla and pale oak from the ex-Bourbon. Fresh apple, hay and a soft honeyed sweetness. In the ex-Bourbon cask, lignin breaks down to vanillin for the vanilla note, while oak lactones lend a soft coconut sweetness.
