Description
the Dutch family firm van Wees releases single casks under the Ultimate name. The cask was filled in 2010 and bottled in 2023, a 12 year old Linkwood, from cask 306242, from The Ultimate range.
A bourbon barrel and twelve years settle its clean, apple-and-pear character.
Bottled at 46%, vanilla and light oak come from the bourbon cask. The profile runs to chocolate, dried fruit, leather, a malt note, new wood, a nutty note.
