Wemyss Malts, owners of Kingsbarns, bottles single casks under evocative names rather than numbers. Distilled in 2000 and bottled in 2012, this is a 12 year old Linkwood.
Twelve years of ex-Bourbon soften the bright, orchard-fruit spirit.
At 46%, soft vanilla and oak come from the ex-Bourbon. Pear, apple and cut grass over a honeyed base.
