James MacArthur has been a familiar independent name since the 1980s, bottling single casks at natural strength. Filled in 1998 and bottled in 2010, the whisky is a 12 year old Linkwood.
Twelve years in ex-Bourbon lend a light oak frame to Linkwood's light, floral Speyside spirit.
Bottled at 40%, the ex-Bourbon lends vanilla and a soft oak frame. Fresh apple, pear and a gentle honeyed sweetness.
