Levy Lane’s eight year Tamosi blends Barbados, Panama and a whisper of Jamaica, aged in ex-bourbon and bottled at 45%, the Foursquare-led core giving oak, vanilla and toffee with a faint tropical lift.
Description
Tamosi is Levy Lane's multi-island blend, drawing on Barbados, Panama and a small unaged Jamaican fraction, all married in ex-bourbon barrels and carried at 45% over eight years. The balance tilts heavily toward the Barbados component, with the Panama distillate adding a softer, rounder layer underneath.
That Foursquare-leaning core sets the tone: oak, vanilla and toffee on the nose, a palate of vanilla, mineral and a green pepper edge, and a finish that turns toward cappuccino and toffee with tropical fruit in the background. The Jamaican touch sits well back, lending a hint of fruit rather than overt funk. The Panama gives a sweet, slightly earthy warmth without any added sugar leading the way. It lands as an approachable, well-mannered blend that suits both regular rum drinkers and those finding their feet with the style.
